The Seminole Innovators organization is designed to give students the opportunity to collaborate to solve challenging problems, build unique & valuable skills, and explore the world of emerging technology!

At the core of our organization are Seminole Innovators Intro Projects (SIIPs), which are designed for students of all skill levels, with a special emphasis on being approachable for students with zero experience in a given subject area.

Areas include Programming, 3D Design/Printing, Virtual Reality, and more. As a departmental affiliate working closely in tandem with the Innovation Hub, members are able to find their home on campus and open new doors to innovation & problem-solving. Get involved with us!

FALL 2024 PROJECTS

  • OurPatch aims to support the Tallahassee community to connect & act more sustainably. This will be achieved through a web application, including an interactive map and a social feed page. The map will highlight local events like trash clean-ups, invasive plant pulls, or even just birdwatching. These events can be shared by users or local organizations. Recycle points and nature areas will also be highlighted. The social side of the app will allow users to interact with their community by sharing nature finds or events they went to.

The machine will feature a refreshed, innovative interface and a lighter vending mechanism, enabling easy transportation and providing a memorable experience for the customer. It will live at the Thomasville Center for the Arts upon completion.
